Calcora UK is a collection of free, accurate United Kingdom calculators — take-home pay, taxes, mortgages, loans, savings and everyday maths. Every tool runs entirely in your browser, with no sign-up and no cost, and your figures never leave your device.

Who is behind this site

Calcora UK is built and maintained by Ofir Baranes, an independent software developer, as a personal project to make complex United Kingdom financial calculations simple, accurate and transparent. Methodology — how the numbers are calculated

Every tax and financial calculator implements the official formula and rates in force for the 2026/27 tax year. Rates (income-tax bands, National Insurance / FICA, VAT / sales tax, allowances and contribution caps) are checked by hand against the official publications and updated when the authorities change them. All calculations run fully in the browser (JavaScript), so they can be inspected and reproduced at any time.

Where no government authority applies (general maths, dates, conversions and general health metrics), a standard, widely accepted formula is used without citing a regulatory source.

Accuracy & freshness standards

Freshness: financial values are dated on every calculator page and marked with dateModified in the structured data. Last reviewed: 2026-06-14.
Transparency: every calculation is visible and runs client-side — there is no "black box" and nothing is sent to a server.
Corrections: found an inaccuracy? Email us and it will be reviewed and updated promptly.
